Has CounterPunch been Sucker-punched?

In 1991 a B-52G is lost over the Indian Ocean after an operation against Iraq. Before ditching, the B-52G jettisons 3 nuclear tipped SRAM's. The weapons grade uranium is retrieved from Somalia's continental shelf by an arms dealer who sells it to the 'Theocratic Fascist Mullahs' in Iran.

3 sentences to precis an Alexander Cockburn article in Counterpunch.

In 1973 Israel lose a plane carrying a nuclear bomb over the Golan. 30 years later an arms dealer from Damascus finds it and sells the plutonium to a 'Nazi Terrorist Conspiracy' that is trying to create a war between the US and Russia. The 'Nazi Terrorist Conspiracy' blows up Baltimore with a nuclear bomb made from the plutonium found in the Israeli bomb. The CIA save the day in the nick of time by stopping an all out nuclear war between USA and Russia.

4 sentences to precis the Tom Clancy novel and film 'The Sum of All Fears'.

Is the 'War on Terrorism' being scripted by Tom Clancy or is the article the second installment of the Psy-ops campaign in preparation for an attack on Iran? The first installment being the linking of the new Iranian President - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - with the Tehran hostage crisis of 25 years ago.

I think Alexander Cockburn needs to do a double check on his 'well-informed' informant and clarify his story, unless of course it is Tom Clancy.

(Les added 2nd Aug)

Metronomic liar Dickhead Cheney has tasked STRATCOM, via the Pentagon, to draw up plans for a nuclear attack on Iran if a 9/11 type event were to happen again. Iran does not have to be involved in a 9/11 type event to be attacked. Article from American Conservative via Information Clearing House dated 1st Aug here.

Also on 1st Aug the BBC carry an article about Iran starting preparations for the resumption of uranium enrichment.

Even Tom Clancy couldn't have bettered the timing of the publication of Alexander Cockburn's article on disappeared nukes.
