Camp Casey

Bush is on holiday at his ranch in Crawford, Texas - again. This time he's taking a month off from playing Cowboys and Indians around the world but he hasn't holstered the gun.

The ranch is where he met Blair in April 2002 and they took the decision to send a lot of young British and American men and women and a hundred-thousand Iraqis - mostly women and children - to their deaths. Hundreds are still dying daily from the lies they used to fix the facts to fit a murderous policy.

A brave and strong, an ordinary, average American mother has set up camp outside the ranch. Cindy Sheehan's son, Casey, was killed in Iraq on 04.04.04. and she wants Bush to meet her and answer a simple question, "Why did Casey die in Iraq?"

Bush has so far declined to step outside his bubble to meet Cindy and his staff are busily trying to rubbish her, do a hatchet on her through the press, but its not sticking. When people meet her or hear her they find she's a good, conscientious, typical American mother.

Cindy co-founded the group Gold Star Families for Peace. Every family has had a loved one sent to their death by the lies of Bush and Blair. The families have also joined the camp. The camp is growing, more people are committing themselves to turning up as the message spreads.

You can read Cindy's story in her own words here.
